School Closure - an update
4 June 2021 (by admin)
Dear Mums, Dads and Carers,
I have had a further call from KCC this afternoon and the news is a little more positive. It is very unlikely that the investigative works will go beyond Wednesday. There is, in fact, a possibility that they may be completed before Wednesday to allow us to reopen earlier than we were first informed that we could. I will let you know as soon as possible if this is the case.
I know that this has been unwelcome news for you, please believe that it is for us too. We would far rather be in school with the children. We've all missed far too much school time already this year, and have just got back into a flow and routine. However, it is vital that we do everything we are instructed to do to ensure the safety of everybody.
Once we are back there are likely to be areas of school that have to be fenced off. We don't as yet know whether this will affect the routine for collecting children at the end of the day, if it does we will let you know of any new arrangements as soon as we can.
Again I apologise for the fact that there has been no email, the Homeconnect system is down across the whole of KCC and I can only message you this way at the moment.
If you need to contact me I am receiving emails at: email@example.com
