Spiderman

Captain America

Iron Man

Black Panther

Baby Groot

More Heroes Needed

It’s not just the Children of Thanos that are threatening Earth’s security, our planet is facing new challenges every single day.

We need more Super Heroes than ever before. We’re calling on strong, smart, brave and loyal heroes to save our planet. Do you have what it takes to protect us?

Take the Super Hero Aptitude Test. Once complete take a picture or screenshot of your result.

Continue to follow the instructions on screen to meet the real life superheroes. Read through the information and watch at least 3 of the videos (you can watch them all if you like!)

Write down which of these engineering heroes you think the world needs the most right now and why. Send this in with your screen shot to complete the task.

Magneto's Tricks

Magneto thinks he's the only one with the power to move metal. Prove him wrong!

Using a fridge magnet or any other magnets you have at home, experiment with moving small metal objects such as paperclips, pins etc. Here are some things you could investigate:

  • Which of your magnets is the most powerful?
  • What is the maximum distance that a magnetic force from your magnet can act?
  • How do different materials placed between your magnet and an object affect the strength of the magnetic force?

You could even come up with your own question to investigate! Think about how you could carry out your investigation, what data you will collect and how you will present your findings. It could be a write up of your experiment a PowerPoint presentation or a video of you explaining what you did and what you found.

BONUS TASK: Create a video making it look like you have Magneto's powers while secretly using a hidden magnet?

Train Like a Superhero

Move Like The Avengers

Your task is to design your very own superhero themed workout like the 2 examples above. It must include a warm-up and cool-down, cardio (getting your heart beat up), strength in your upper body and strength in your lower body. Use this template to help you plan.

Write a Superhero Story

Your task is to write a story involving only one super hero and one villain. These cannot be heroes or villains that already exist like Hulk or Dr Octopus, you need to design your own hero and your own villain.

Your hero will meet your villain and something will happen when they meet. You can decide for yourself what this is. Will there be an epic battle and if so, who wins and how? Will they make peace or maybe even team up? Why?

Use this resource to help you design your hero. You can also use it to help you think about their arch enemy. Remember to think carefully about what their special abilities are.

Use the following planning sheet to help you plan your story.

When you have planned your story, write it down. Remember to watch out for your spelling and punctuation. Use some of these words in your writing to help make.

BONUS TASK: Turn your story into your own comic strip.

Superhero Algebra

To be a great superhero you need to be able to work out secret codes. See if you are able to work out what each symbol in this puzzle is worth. Use your knowledge of multiplication and division to help you.

The type of poem you create is up to you.

BONUS TASK: If you are feeling extra brave then have a go at the SUPER Maths Extra Challenge. The fate of the world is in your hands! The Joker has ordered you pay the ransom or else…
