Transition Throughout the Year
Term 6 Transition:

Term 6 Friday 7th June 9:30am 10:45am 1:30pm |
Year 2 Tours Year 2 children will come over to North Borough to meet their Year 5 buddy for the first time. Year 2 children will be given a tour of the school in small groups with their buddy. Each class will be given a time slot to spread the tours over the day. |

Friday 21st June 1:30pm Friday 28th June (Back Up) 1:30pm

PE with Yr5 Buddy Year 2 to come over to North Borough to meet their Yr5 buddy again. Year 2 children will take part in a PE lesson led by the Yr5 children.

During Week Beginning 1st July 9am-3pm

A Day in the Life of Year 2 (Teachers) Year 3 teachers will go over to St Paul’s to spend the day with their new class. They will get to see how their new class learn best, how they like to play and get to know the children.

Ask Me Anything Ask me anything session. Year 3 teachers and TA to visit Year 2 children at St Paul’s to allow children the chance to ask questions about life at North Borough and being in Year 3. |

Summer Show Year 2 over to North Borough to watch the Year 6 Summer Show dress rehearsal in the Hall. |

Meet the Teacher (Whole School Transition) Year 2 will visit North Borough and spend time with their new teacher and TA in their Yr3 classroom. Year 2 will stay for playtime following the in-class activity. Year 2 teachers will collect the children at 10:45 from the playground.

Story Share Teachers and TAs visit St Pauls to share a story with their new class. |

Beach Disco Year 2 are invited to join us for our Summer Beach Disco. This will be for Year 2-5 and take place on the school playground, 4:30pm – 6pm. Tickets will be available to purchase from the front gate of North Borough Junior School at the end of the school day or in the school office during school hours. |

Transition Events
Term 4
On Tuesday 26th March, the Year 2 children visited North Borough to learn about the Romans and have a look at some of the work the Year 3 children have produced. We were so impressed to see some fantastic models and mosaic work as well as the great non-chronological reports the children have written which included interesting Roman facts.
Term 2
We had a fantastic morning on Friday 17th November when Year 2 visited North Borough for their first transition event. Year 3 created a Stone Age Museum for the Year 2s to visit. The Year 3 children have been very busy creating fantastic art work and Stone Age settlements to share with Year 2.

Arriving at school
Your journey into North Borough if you're visiting the school office.
You'll most likely see Mrs Borland in the office. She is very friendly and can help you with lots of things, including school dinners, uniform or finding out about clubs.
This will be your normal route into school in the morning once you have settled in. You can say goodbye to your adult at the gate and come into school with your friends. Miss Taylor will be waiting at the door for you with her very smiley face.
Our Classrooms
Here are our Year 3 classrooms. They were all named after famous landmarks this year but will have new names next year.

Around the School
Here is our school hall. We meet in here for assemblies and have lunch in here.
This is our lovely library. You will get to borrow a book from here each week.
This is the Thrive hut. Miss Taylor works in here and does activities with children.
Our Outdoor Areas
This is the top playground. This is where you can spend some of your time during breaktime and lunchtime. We have markings on this playground to help you run, walk or skip the Daily Mile
This is the quiet area. The Nurture team are in this area to help with any problems you may have on the playground. This is a nice , quiet shady spot to relax in, especially on sunny days.
This part of the playground is the outdoor classroom where you may spend time with your teacher, learning outdoors. You'll also find our outdoor gym and trim trail which can be played on at breaktime and lunchtime. You can also see the middle and bottom playground here. This is where you can play sports with an adult at breaktime and lunchtime.

We are so lucky to have such a large school field! This is where we play lots of sports and enjoy lunchtimes in the summer.
